Additional Information

Geen Haas is an Afrikaans expression referring to a calm timeous process, like that of the winemaking process applied here. The Geen Haas Reserve Chenin Blanc is not just any wine.

This Chenin Blanc is the result of a selective harvest from old vineyards. The vineyards are located in the Bovlei district in the Wellington region. The area, formerly known as Wamakersvallei, has contributed to the language and wine history for over 300 years.

The Wellington climate is characterized by warm summers and cold winters. The slopes and slopes of Bovlei provide morning sun and coolness from early afternoon. This allows for balanced fruit development. The perfect balance between terroir and cultivar results in a wine with undertones of dried apples and caramelized toffee.

There is “No Haste (Geen Haas)” in this winemaking process. Through deliberate aging in French oak barrels, the wine acquires honey and almond notes. The wood contributes delicately to the mouthfeel effect without overwhelming the natural flavors of the wine.

So kan gebalanseerde vrugontwikkeling plaasvind.

Daar is Geen Haas in hierdie wynmaakproses nie.
